A New Place Where Every Child Belongs: Discover the Sensory Play Center
As a mom, I'm always looking for places where both of my daughters can have fun together. Like so many families, my girls have different personalities, different interests, and different needs. Finding somewhere they both genuinely enjoy isn't always easy.
So when we visited the Sensory Play Center, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect.
Within minutes, I realized this wasn't just another place for kids to play.
As a mom of a child with sensory sensitivities, I've learned that not every environment is created with every child in mind. Sometimes the lights are too bright, the noise is overwhelming, or there simply isn't a space where kids can explore in a way that feels comfortable for them.
The Sensory Play Center felt different.
From the moment we walked through the doors, the atmosphere was welcoming, calm, and inviting. Instead of feeling chaotic, the space encourages children to slow down, explore, imagine, create, and simply enjoy being kids.
The best part? My girls each found something completely different to love.
One immediately jumped into imaginative play while the other explored the hands-on sensory activities. There wasn't a "right" way to play. Every child could enjoy the space in whatever way felt natural to them, and I loved watching them both light up in their own unique ways.
As I learned more about the story behind the Sensory Play Center, it made me appreciate it even more. It was created by parents who recognized the need for a place where children of all abilities could feel welcomed, supported, and included. Their goal wasn't simply to build another play space, but to build a community where families feel like they belong. That mission shines through in every corner of the center.
Another thing that really stood out to me was the staff. The team is made up of experienced educators who genuinely understand child development and the importance of creating an environment where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged. You can see their passion in the way they interact with the children and families, making the experience feel welcoming from the moment you walk through the door.
What I love most is that this isn't just a place for children with sensory needs, it's for everyone.
Whether your child is sensory-seeking, enjoys quieter spaces, loves imaginative play, or simply wants a fun place to explore, there's something here for every family. Inclusion isn't just part of their mission; it's something you can actually feel while you're there.
